It is always told: Old people (I don’t feel so) often have a lot of experience. Here are just a few experiences that will help me to provide effective consulting services.
- Grown up in the Sauerland (North Rhine – Westfalia, western Germany).
- Studying Electrical Engineering at the Technical University RWTH Aachen.
- Student worker at the measurement department of the Institute for Road Engineering, Earthworks and Tunneling.
- Studying Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University RWTH Aachen.
- Student worker at the Institute for Plastic Processing (Institut für Kunststoffverarbeitung in Industrie und Handwerk, IKV) at the Technical University RWTH Aachen.
- Freelance in the field of machine control, closed loop control, programming, consulting.
- Employed as development engineer (finally: Head of Development) at Company CAS from August 1987 (CAS founded) to January 2017 (date of retirement)
- On the development of all CAS products (process controllers and simulations for the rubber injection moulding process and the rubber-plastic (2K) injection molding process, test equipment for measuring the viscoelastic properties of rubber parts, data acquisition unit with calculation of state of cure for rubber extrusion lines, …), I played a major role. The CAS process optimization system for the rubber injection molding process was awarded the DKG Product Award (photo) in 2006 at the International Rubber Conference (IRC) in Nuremberg.

- The international rubber industrie met from July 2nd to July 5th 2018 at Nuremberg for the Deutschen Kautschuk-Tagung DKT 2018 (German Rubber Conference 2018). I was involved by holding a speech about: “Simulation of the rubber injection moulding process – Real time or offline – A comparison”. You can download my handout here.
